Billing

An experienced PCA billing coordinator is assigned to each facility. Questions are answered quickly and facilities are always made aware of potential reimbursement and case mix cost issues.

Cost-containment

Pre-admission medication screening determines medication costs for acute care setting discharge patients. Quick cost-out of Medicare Part A expense identifies potential therapeutic interchanges, analyzes I.V. costs over the projected therapy duration and evaluates drug costs.

Monthly reports are provided, including per diem costs, medication utilization, invoice data reports on medication or physician prescription trends.

PCA also offers notification when a new prescription meets a facility-designated cost threshold. PCA billing parameters include Medicare Parts A, B and D, private pay, third-party and Medicaid.

Complying with state-specific guidelines, PCA offers a medication return/credit on unopened unit-dose medications.
